- Dont' Let Your United Way Dollars Leave Town

The United Way of Central Kane County and its dedicated volunteers announce the $500,000 goal for this year to support 27 local agencies and their 40 programs. United Way is experiencing increased need due to the recession and reduction in donations.

We are determined to make our ambitious goal so United Way can continue to help create a better tomorrow. We are reminding commuters they can make a gift during this difficult time by designating their worksite gift back to United Way of Central Kane County. “We are reminding people that 99 cents of every dollar contributed to the local United Way remains within the community,” said Vice President Campaign, Matthew Richardson.

United Way of Central Kane County volunteers are distributing reminder cards at the Elburn, LaFox, and Geneva train stations Wednesday, September 30th from 6:00 a.m. to 8: 30 a.m. to inform donors about designating their worksite pledge. United Way volunteers will be wearing Live United Way t-shirts while distributing the “Don’t let your United Way dollars leave town” postcards.
